Privacy Policy for MediCare
Privacy Policy for MediCare
Effective date: 31 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the MediCare Android app (“MediCare,” “the app,” “we,” or “us”) handles information.
Information stored in the app
MediCare lets you enter information such as:
Profile details, including name, age or date of birth, gender, and blood group
Emergency contact name and phone number
Allergies and medical notes
Medicine names, strength, form, dose, schedule, dates, food instructions, stock quantity, and notes
Dose status records, such as taken, missed, skipped, or pending
This information is stored in the app’s database on your device and is used to display your profile, medicine schedules, and dose records. MediCare does not require you to create an account. The app does not send this information to servers operated by the app developer.
Device backup and transfer
Android may back up or transfer app data when you use Android backup or device-transfer features. Whether this happens depends on your device, Android version, and backup settings. Any such backup or transfer is handled by Android or your device provider under their own settings and policies. You can review your device’s backup settings if you do not want app data included.
Sharing and third parties
MediCare does not sell your information or share it with the app developer, advertisers, or analytics providers. The app does not include advertising or analytics services.
If Android backup or device transfer is enabled, Android or your device provider may process app data to provide those system services. Their handling is governed by their own privacy terms and settings.
Data retention and deletion
Your information remains in the app’s local storage until you delete relevant records or clear the app’s data. You can remove medicine entries within the app. To clear locally stored app data, use Android’s app storage settings or uninstall the app. Android backups or transferred copies may remain subject to your device and backup-provider settings.
Security
MediCare stores information in its app-specific storage on your device. Protect access to your device and keep its operating system up to date. No method of electronic storage or transfer can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children’s privacy
MediCare is not specifically designed for children. The app does not operate an account or server that collects children’s information. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of the app and the information entered on the device.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app’s features or data practices change. The latest version will be published at the public policy URL, with its updated effective date.
